Full job description

Overview

We are a successful, growing business looking for a talented and commercially minded Digital Content Manager to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role with responsibility for the digital presence & management of up to 4 company websites, covering content creation, website management, SEO, PPC advertising, imagery and ongoing digital development.

Unlike a role within a large marketing department, you will have genuine ownership of our digital activity. We are looking for someone who enjoys turning ideas into action, testing what works and seeing the direct impact their work has on traffic, customer engagement and sales.

Duties

Website Content: Create, edit and maintain engaging product, category, landing pages and promotional content across (up to) 4 websites, though is currently 3.
Content Creation: Produce compelling content and create or edit imagery and graphics for websites, email and digital campaigns.
SEO: Develop and implement SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, metadata, internal linking and content development.
PPC & Digital Advertising: Create, manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads and social media platforms.
Website Management: Ensure websites remain accurate, current, visually engaging and easy for customers to navigate.
Campaign Development: Plan and deliver digital campaigns around new products, promotions, seasonal opportunities and key trading periods.
Analytics & Performance: Monitor website traffic, conversions, advertising performance and return on investment, using data to continually improve results.
Digital Growth: Proactively identify opportunities to increase website traffic, improve conversion rates and generate additional online sales.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who combines creativity with strong commercial awareness and is comfortable taking responsibility for projects from concept through to delivery.

You should have:

Proven experience managing and developing commercial websites.
Practical experience of SEO and improving organic search performance.
Experience creating and managing Google Ads/PPC campaigns.
Strong written English and the ability to create engaging, customer-focused content.
Good visual judgement and experience creating or editing digital graphics and imagery.
An understanding of website analytics, conversion rates and digital marketing performance.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities across several websites.
The confidence to work independently while being an active part of a small team. Our near future aim is to have this role supported with a Digital Content Apprentice
A proactive attitude — we value people who bring forward ideas rather than simply wait for instructions.

Experience with Shopify, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center, CapCut, Lightroom, Meta advertising and email marketing would be particularly advantageous - or maybe you have other ideas?
