Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive mathematics lessons to students across various age groups. This role offers an opportunity to inspire learners, foster a love for mathematics, and contribute to their academic success. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced educators and recent graduates seeking teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
Assess students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
Develop customised lesson plans to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Monitor student behaviour and implement appropriate classroom management strategies.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop school-wide initiatives and share best practices.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programmes as required.
Support students in developing problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning.

Requirements

A recognised qualification in Education or Mathematics (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary or primary level is desirable but not essential; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan lessons effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate students.
A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
Knowledge of current educational technology tools and resources is advantageous.
A valid right to work in the UK; all applicants must pass relevant safeguarding checks prior to employment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
