We are looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join our experienced team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is part-qualified ACCA (preferred) or has equivalent practice experience and is looking to continue developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

Working alongside our Accounts Senior and management team, you'll be responsible for preparing accounts and supporting a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Preparing Corporation Tax computations and returns.
Assisting with personal tax and business tax matters where required.
Preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
Bookkeeping and reconciliations using cloud accounting software.
Liaising directly with clients and responding to day-to-day queries.
Supporting the wider team to ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Ideally 2-4 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
ACCA part-qualified (preferred), AAT qualified, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience preparing year-end accounts for a variety of businesses.
Good knowledge of Corporation Tax and VAT.
Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well within a close-knit team.
Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to provide excellent client service.
