Full job description

Pallavas Restaurant, Southend-on-Sea is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for:

Waiter/Waitress Kitchen Porter

We are looking for team members who can provide excellent service and contribute to a clean, organised and welcoming restaurant environment.

Waiter/Waitress Responsibilities

Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take food and drink orders accurately.
Serve food and beverages efficiently.
Set up, clean and clear tables.
Respond to customer requests politely and professionally.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining and service areas.
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues.
Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
Provide excellent customer service throughout each shift.

Kitchen Porter Responsibilities

Wash plates, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
Keep the kitchen and washing-up areas clean and organised.
Maintain high standards of hygiene at all times.
Dispose of waste correctly.
Assist with receiving and organising deliveries when required.
Support chefs and other kitchen staff with general kitchen duties.
Complete cleaning duties during and at the end of shifts.
Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures.

Requirements

Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Friendly and professional attitude.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
