Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable using a range of hand and power tools. Heavy lifting may be required as part of daily tasks.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles to identify faults and issues
Perform repairs and maintenance including engine work, brake repairs, suspension, and electrical systems
Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and servicing
Carry out routine inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards
Assist with the replacement of parts, fluids, and other components as needed
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out for each vehicle
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
Assist in the organisation of workshop activities to optimise workflow
Face to face customer experience
Invoicing, booking call taking

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance are desirable but not essential
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Not licence ideally

This position is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about vehicle maintenance and repair, eager to develop their skills within a professional setting.
