Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and bathroom fixtures in both residential and commercial properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in plumbing and related trades to contribute to high-quality projects while developing their skills further. Applicants must be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, and fixtures
Fitting bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, baths, and related accessories
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Ensuring all work complies with current health and safety regulations
Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete installations
Heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation tasks
Conducting routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
Maintaining a clean work environment and ensuring all tools are properly stored after use

Skills

Proven experience in plumbing, bathroom fitting, or similar trades
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques
Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems and fixtures
Ability to perform basic maths for measurements and calculations during installations
Experience with assembly of bathroom components and related fixtures
Knowledge of health & safety regulations applicable to construction sites
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks
Valid driving licence for commercial driving is advantageous but not essential for all roles
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
