Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our on-site team in Ipswich town centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment, and building services.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with statutory requirements and industry standards
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues and implement appropriate solutions
Undertake general building maintenance, including basic plumbing and fabric repairs
Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
Accurately complete all compliance documentation and maintenance reports
Participate in on-call and emergency response duties for OOH
Escalate critical issues to the Facilities Manager
Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and O&M documentation
Review RAMS and supervise subcontractors on site
Inspect and verify work carried out by external contractors
Replace and maintain components such as filters, belts, and valves
Ensure adequate stock levels of essential maintenance materials
Carry out a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabric tasks

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Experience in Facilities Management or Maintenance Engineering
Strong knowledge of both reactive and planned maintenance (PPM)
Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Electrical or Mechanical, 18th Edition)
Good understanding of health & safety regulations
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Basic IT skills (Outlook, Excel)

Desirable:

Experience working in a commercial environment
Additional certifications or training

Pay: From £38,000.00 per year
