Full job description

Job Overview

Join our team as a Chemical Warehouse Operator and become a vital part of our Chemical Process Warehousing operations. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for efficiently managing chemical inventory, ensuring safe storage, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. Your proactive approach will help maintain a smooth warehouse flow, uphold safety standards, and support our commitment to quality and compliance. This position offers an engaging environment where your mechanical skills and warehouse experience will directly contribute to operational excellence.

Duties

Safely load, unload, and transport chemical materials using forklifts and other materials handling equipment
Manage inventory through our warehouse management system (WMS) ensuring accurate stock levels and documentation
Stock shelves, organize chemical storage areas, and perform regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking
Prepare works orders by picking and labeling chemical products accurately for transfer to Mixing Department
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
Conduct routine inspections of storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper chemical handling procedures
Support mechanical maintenance tasks related to warehouse equipment or infrastructure as needed

Skills

Proven experience working in a warehouse environment, preferably with chemicals or hazardous materials
Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate safely in a busy warehouse setting
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
Experience with materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, stacking, and organizing stock efficiently
Familiarity with manufacturingl environments is a plus for understanding safety protocols
Excellent attention to detail for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and maintaining accurate records

Pay: £12.83 per hour
