Full job description

Reporting to the Finance Director you will look after all accounts and financial matters within the company.

Working with all departments, ensuring that all areas of the financial processes are conducted to meet business expectation. You must possess excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence; you will be liaising with customers and suppliers as well as communicating with other internal departments. You must also have strong attention to detail and be methodical in your approach directing within a fast paced Operational environment.

Detailed task list

4 - Detailed Task List:

Produce and update weekly cashflow.
Produce monthly payroll, PAYE rec, NEST Pension payments and post payroll journal to Sage.
Month end: update ‘month end spreadsheet, reconcile BS codes and make sure everything has been coded correctly. Produce Accruals and Prepayments, Update FAR and calculate depreciation.
Update job cards with information from Sage.
Monthly WIP Calculation: Link relevant costs for WIP and for all sales linking to ‘production schedule’ review with MD and post WIP & Stock journals;
Produce Profitability report;
Year-end accounts;
HMRC PAYE reconciliation;
CIS year end reconciliation;
Benefit in kind forms
Post Purchase Invoices.
Answer queries/check emails.
Raise Sales Invoices.
Post bank payments and receipts.
Bank reconciliation,
Go through ‘production report’ & Fitting Diary’ and coordinate ‘contracts invoicing’ payment dates and terms in conjunction with Finance Director;
Set up any new order on ‘contracts invoicing’ & open new job card, checking payments terms, dates etc and set up on Sage;
Thoroughly go through ‘contracts invoicing’ with Contracts Team raise invoice, chase payments, and add variations etc.;
Monitor outstanding works where money is owed.
Check subcontractors invoices and pass project related to QS for review, post CIS credit on account and pay subcontractor;
Make any other misc. payments.
Purchase Ledger duties, post Purchase Invoices, set up accounts, make payments and keep aged creditors reconciled and tidy,
Sale Ledger duties, keep aged debtors tidy, chase up payments etc,;
CIS return, submit to HMRC and make payment. Print subcontractor certificates.
Bank reconciliation for the month and reconcile on Sage.
Reconcile P/L Statements to Sage.
Produce month end payment run and make relevant payments, send remittances;
Reconcile VAT account.
Produce VAT Return.
Deal with all company compliance/certification
Any other tasks as directed by the Finance Director.

Salary dependent on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £44,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
