Full job description

Lunchtime Supervisor roles for our Baby Room and Toddler Room are 3 hours per day, 11.30 until 2.30

Bank staff shifts will vary according to the needs of the nursery

Phoenix Childcare is situated on the beautiful grounds of Gaudet Luce Golf Club. We are very fortunate to have this at our fingertips for walks and outdoor exploration. We have two big outdoor play areas that the children have daily access to, including a small, wooded area.

We are closed for Bank Holidays and the week between Christmas and the New Year.

In return we are looking for a enthusiastic, reliable candidate who has a strong passion for developing children’s learning, through engaging, well-thought-out activities, in line with the EYFS. Are you a great storyteller and love dressing up? Do you enjoy exploring using your senses and getting messy? Then you are what we are looking for.

Your role will include making sure children receive high quality care and are kept safe.

You will be involved in food preparation, setting up activities in the room/garden and possibly doing handovers with parents.

The ideal candidates will have at least a year’s experience, working with children 0-4years of age. Be confident in all areas of the EYFS and children’s developmental milestones, and preferably hold these extra qualifications,

Paediatric first aid

Safeguarding

Basic food hygiene.

Summary

As an Early Years Lunch Time Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the well-being and safety of children during lunch periods. Reporting to the Nursery Manager, your role is essential in creating a nurturing environment that promotes positive interactions among children. With core skills in childcare and early childhood education, you will engage with children effectively while ensuring they enjoy their meals. Your leadership abilities will be vital in managing lunch activities, and your communication skills will facilitate collaboration with staff and parents. Join us in fostering a supportive atmosphere for our young learners.
