Full job description

Job Overview:

From our headquarters in London, Immediate Medical Solutions works closely with the NHS and private healthcare sector to provide high-quality Health and Social Care services. As an approved provider to the NHS and Local Authorities, we are committed to delivering exceptional care through experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals.

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistants to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to patients across a variety of healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining patients' dignity, privacy, and independence.
Assist patients with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
Support patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional needs where required.
Monitor and record observations, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation (where trained).
Accurately document patient information and report any concerns or changes in condition to the nursing team.
Assist registered nurses and other healthcare professionals with clinical and non-clinical tasks.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
Follow infection prevention and control, safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.
Build positive relationships with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary teams.

Skills & Experience:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, caring, and professional approach to patient care.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy healthcare environment.
Basic understanding of patient care principles and infection prevention practices.

Essential Requirements:

Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience within the NHS or a similar healthcare environment (required).
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo new one).
Overseas Police Check for candidates who have lived outside the UK within the last 10 years (where applicable).
Occupational Health clearance.
Evidence of immunity (titre results or vaccination records) for Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR), in line with NHS compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Shift Options:

8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts
Days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays
Flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle

Successful candidates will be required to provide all documentation necessary to meet NHS employment and compliance standards before commencing work.
