Bathroom Designer

The Bathroom Company Glasgow is looking for a creative, technically minded and highly organised Bathroom Designer to join our showroom team.
We are an award-winning bathroom company, having won Best Bathroom Company at the Home Improvement Awards three times, and we are once again nominated this year. We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of bathroom design, installation and customer service.
This role is primarily focused on creating well-designed, practical bathrooms and making sure every detail is correct before installation. You will work closely with customers, surveyors, suppliers and installers, taking projects from the initial design brief through to final specification and installation.
Experience using Virtual Worlds and TruBlue would be a strong advantage, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to understand their requirements, style and how they intend to use the space.
- Create practical and attractive bathroom layouts using Virtual Worlds.
- Produce high-quality 3D visuals and confidently present design ideas to customers.
- Interpret survey measurements and identify potential design or installation issues.
- Select suitable bathroom products, tiles, finishes, lighting and accessories.
- Ensure all products are compatible with the proposed layout and available space.
- Prepare accurate product specifications and quotations.
- Produce detailed plans and drawings for fitters and other trades.
- Check designs, measurements and specifications thoroughly before orders are placed.
- Maintain accurate customer, design and product information within TruBlue.
- Make design revisions following customer feedback or updated survey information.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding specifications, availability and technical information.
- Work closely with our installation teams to answer design queries and resolve issues.
- Keep up to date with bathroom trends, new products and supplier ranges.
- Assist with maintaining and updating showroom displays and sample collections.
Skills & Experience
- Previous bathroom, kitchen or interior design experience is preferred.
- Experience using Virtual Worlds or similar CAD/design software is desirable.
- Experience using TruBlue or another bathroom quotation and ordering system would be beneficial.
- Strong eye for layout, colour, proportion and detail.
- Ability to balance creative design with practical installation requirements.
- Ability to work accurately within customer budgets while maintaining design quality and practicality.
- Confidence working from room measurements and accurately to scale.
- Good understanding of bathroom products and installation requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages.
- Excellent attention to detail when preparing specifications, quotations and drawings.
- Clear communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with customers, suppliers and installers.
- Good general computer skills.
