PCB Assembler

Location: Crawley
Salary: £25,000–£27,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a PCB Assembler to join a well-established electronics manufacturing company based in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

You will be responsible for assembling and testing printed circuit boards while ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) to production specifications.
Carry out through-hole (PTH) and surface mount (SMT) assembly.
Perform hand soldering of electronic components.
Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions and bills of materials (BOMs).
Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
Identify and report any faults or defects.
Operate assembly equipment and hand tools safely.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.
Support the production team to meet daily output targets.

Requirements

Previous experience in PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing.
Good hand soldering skills.
Experience with SMT and/or through-hole components.
Ability to read assembly drawings and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Good manual dexterity.
Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

IPC certification (preferred but not essential).
Experience using inspection or testing equipment.
Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
