Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will support the financial operations of the organisation by assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of the company and providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant data analysis.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial matters promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all financial activities.

Skills

Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial tasks.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
