Full job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced painter/decorator to help with exterior and interior renovations of two residential and commercial properties in Malvern.

Immediate start

Temporary Full time/ Part time Self Employed contract. Ends December 2026.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
Use brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other tools effectively to achieve smooth, even coverage.
Follow project specifications and safety guidelines diligently throughout each phase of decorating work.
Communicate clearly with team members and clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly.
Inspect completed work for quality control, making touch-ups or corrections as needed to meet high standards.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong eye for detail.
Ability to operate various painting tools and equipment confidently.
Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Valid driving license for collecting supplies.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights, handling chemicals, and using power tools.
Strong physical stamina to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks over extended periods.
Ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining flexibility to adapt to different project demands.
