Full job description

Description

DPC Accountants, part of the Sumer Group, are looking to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing team in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who is AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified/studying and looking to develop their career within a well-established accountancy firm.

The Role

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will work closely with a portfolio of clients and be responsible for:

Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements
Producing management accounts
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounts work
Dealing with client queries and building strong client relationships
Supporting more senior members of the team
Working across a range of accounting software, including Sage, Xero and QuickBooks

The Person

We are looking for someone with:

AAT Level 3 or Level 4, or currently studying towards AAT/ACA/ACCA
Previous accountancy practice experience – essential
Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns
Good technical accounting knowledge
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive approach and willingness to develop
Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS would be advantageous
