Overview
Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer and become the frontline guardian of safety and order across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, managing access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach will help protect assets, ensure the safety of staff and visitors, and uphold the integrity of our operations. Responsibilities

Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or breaches in real-time.
Control access to the premises by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to identify potential security risks or hazards.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by following established protocols and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate disputes.
Perform first aid and CPR when required, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference.

Qualifications

Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable.
Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and other security technology.
Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and conflict management techniques.
Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
