About Us
JayD Meats is a premium meat manufacturing business operating across multiple sites. Our Desford site is a key part of our production operation, and we're looking for an experienced, skilled butcher to join the team.

The Role
We're seeking a Skilled Butcher to join our Desford production facility. You'll play a key role in preparing, cutting and processing meat products to a high standard, working within in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting and preparing meat products to specification
Working to strict quality, hygiene, and food safety standards
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with HACCP and food safety procedures
Working efficiently to meet production targets without compromising quality
Correct use and maintenance of butchery tools and equipment
Working collaboratively with the wider production team

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a butcher within a food manufacturing or retail environment
Strong knife skills and sound knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting
A reliable, hardworking team player with good attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts as required

What We Offer

£17.50 per hour
8 hour shifts, 5 days per week
