Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring that gardens and green spaces are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for those who enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in their work.

Responsibilities

Planting, pruning, weeding, and watering garden beds to promote healthy growth
Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
Maintaining lawns through mowing, edging, and fertilising
Assisting with landscape design projects and implementing planting schemes
Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
Clearing debris and ensuring the outdoor space remains tidy and well-kept
Supporting seasonal garden preparations such as planting bulbs or seasonal flowers
Collaborating with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes

Skills

Experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable
Proficiency in using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes
Knowledge of irrigation systems and the ability to operate power tools safely
Growing experience with various plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
Strong understanding of plant health care practices and pest management
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions effectively
