Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Part-time Self-Employed Person and Handyman to undertake a variety of maintenance, gardening, and landscape tasks. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work independently on diverse projects, ensuring properties are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in gardening, and general handyman duties, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
Perform garden care including planting, pruning, weeding, lawn mowing, and general landscaping to enhance outdoor spaces.
Conduct repairs around properties such as fixing fences, gates, or minor structural issues using appropriate tools.
Assist with landscape maintenance activities, including soil preparation, planting new shrubs, and installing garden features.
Maintain organised work areas and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
Provide advice on gardening practices and plant care to property owner.
Complete projects within agreed timeframes while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience in gardening, or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, is essential.
Growing experience or knowledge of plant care and garden design is advantageous but not essential.
Previous handyman work involving general repairs or property upkeep will be considered a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards.
A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to gardening and property maintenance is preferred.
