About us:

Amey Plastics is a leading UK manufacturer of high-quality plastic injection mouldings, serving a wide range of industries, both nationally and internationally. In addition to our bespoke solutions, we also manufacturer our own exclusive range of consumer plastic products, available through our online store.

Pay: Starting at £12.75 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday. Overtime - Available

Role and Responsibilities:

The role of an Operator, is to transfer moulded products from the machine into appropriate packaging for onward processing or shipping.

The Operator role involves a range of responsibilities, including:

Removing product from machine locations
Separating saleable product from non-saleable product
Visually inspecting saleable product for poor quality
Alerting Quality Manager and Shift Manager with any quality or production concerns
Bagging and boxing good saleable product in defined packaging
Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within and around immediate workspace
Be prepared to carry out tasks as defined by the Shift Manager
Be respectful to colleagues

Skills and Qualifications:

Good written and spoken English – desirable: GCSE English Grade B (Grade 5)
Good Numeracy skills -desirable: GCSE Maths Grade B (Grade 5)
Ability to work well within a team
Be self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision
Work independently within time constraints
Able to work well under pressure
Great attention to detail
Organised and able to work to deadlines
Flexible and enthusiastic
Smart appearance and able to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
