Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a confident and hardworking Transport / Customer Service Administrator to join our team and support our busy operations department.

The Role

This is a key position within our operations team. You will be responsible for supporting daily transport activities, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring all administrative processes are handled accurately and efficiently.

This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment and understands the urgency and organisation required within haulage.

Key Responsibilities

Handling customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional manner
Managing transport bookings and updating customers on job progress
Liaising with drivers and the operations team to ensure smooth service delivery
Preparing reports, job sheets, and documentation using Microsoft Excel and Word
Managing electronic and manual filing systems accurately
Some level of on-call to be discussed
Writing clear and professional emails using Microsoft Outlook
Maintaining accurate records of jobs, deliveries, and customer communications
Providing general administrative support to the transport office

Essential Requirements

Road Haulage experience desirable but not necessary
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Confident and professional email writing skills in Outlook
Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Strong organisational and file management skills
Ability to work under pressure in a busy transport office
Hardworking, confident, and proactive attitude
Flexible and prepared to work outside of standard hours when required
