Full job description

About the role

Streetspace designs and delivers permanent buildings and covered spaces for schools, colleges and multi-academy trusts across the UK.

We are looking for an Operations Administrator to join our project delivery team.

This is not a general office administration role, you will work closely with our Project Delivery Manager and wider project team, helping keep live projects and pre-construction activity organised, visible and moving.

The role suits someone who is organised, practical, detail-focused and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a fast-moving construction environment.

What you’ll be doing

Maintain project trackers, action logs, files and support records
Capture and follow up actions from project meetings and daily pre-construction discussions
Chase routine project information, updates and outstanding actions
Keep project and procurement folders accurate and organised
Support projects moving through pre-construction towards Ready-to-Build
Help prepare project documents, RAMS/admin packs, access information and client-facing support documents
Arrange accommodation, hotel bookings and agreed logistics for project teams
Maintain procurement records, order information and buying-status trackers
File quotes, orders, confirmations and delivery documentation
Support routine project purchasing and cost tracking where authorised
Maintain defects, snagging and warranty trackers
Research historic project records and drawings when supporting defects or warranty queries
Prepare tracker extracts, action summaries and supporting information for daily and weekly reporting

What we’re looking for

Strong organisation and attention to detail
Good follow-through and willingness to chase actions to completion
Comfortable managing several live priorities at the same time
Confident using spreadsheets, shared files and project tracking systems
Clear and practical communication skills
Able to work independently from clear direction
Comfortable asking questions rather than making assumptions
Reliable, proactive and interested in understanding how projects actually work

Construction or project administration experience would be useful, but we are equally interested in strong administrators from other operational environments who can demonstrate good organisation, ownership and follow-through.

The team

You will report directly to the Project Delivery Manager and work closely with our Project Managers, Commercial Manager, technical/pre-construction team and site teams.

The role is designed to take routine administration and project follow-up away from senior project staff, allowing them to focus on project progression and delivery.

Salary and benefits

£32,000–£36,000 depending on experience
Full-time, permanent role
Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
24 days holiday plus bank holidays
Office-based at Lympne, Hythe
Friendly, open working environment

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
