The Role

12 Months Fixed Term Contract

As an NPD Formulation Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in developing and testing new product formulations, working alongside experts in R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to turn ideas into market-ready innovations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious NPD Formulation Technician to work with cutting-edge products, contribute to breakthrough developments, and make a real impact within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Principle Accountabilities

Prepare, blend, and manufacture laboratory-scale formulations in accordance with development plans, protocols, and safety requirements.
Conduct product testing, evaluations, and data collection to support the development and optimisation of tobacco and nicotine products.
Accurately record experimental results, maintain laboratory documentation, and ensure all data is captured in line with quality and regulatory standards.
Support pilot plant and manufacturing trials, providing technical input to help scale products from laboratory development to commercial production.
Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and workspaces to ensure a safe, organised, and compliant working environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to deliver innovation projects on time and to specification.

Skills and Experience Required

Qualification in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience.
Experience working in a laboratory, product development, quality, or manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG, tobacco, nicotine, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
Strong practical laboratory skills, with experience accurately preparing, handling, and testing formulations or raw materials.
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate experimental data and technical documentation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and support the development of practical solutions.
A collaborative team player with strong communication and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
