Full job description

Your local British Red Cross shop has a variety of activities available for volunteers to support us in. From sorting stock & preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service to our donors and customers - we have something to suit most people’s interests. Our shop is a great place to learn new skills and share existing ones. **We are currently looking for Till and Customer Service volunteers to help us in our shop.** If you have a positive outlook, enjoy speaking to new people and are confident in learning how to use a shop till, then this may be for you. **Till and Customer Service - typical activities:** - Using the shop till to take payment for items - Promoting Gift Aid to maximise our fundraising potential - Helping and advising customers - Undertaking general activities in the shop No experience is needed. Full training will be provided. **When can I volunteer?** A few hours during the week/weekend - as agreed with the shop manager.
