Warehouse Operative Job Description:

About the role

As a warehouse operative, you will work within our busy warehouse, working both alone and as part of a team, reporting directly to the warehouse manager. You’ll work to ensure all deliveries are received and dispatched in a timely and efficient manner.

This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast-paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency, and with so much ground to cover, it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the loading and unloading of tyres using manual handling techniques.

Moving and storing tyres in the correct warehouse area.
Ensure all products are free from damage and report any discrepancies.
Cleaning and maintaining warehouse equipment to set standards.
Consistently working to good standards of health and safety and meeting company warehouse standards and procedures.

To maintain your personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the role and to participate in appropriate training activities.

To undertake other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.

To carry out responsibilities with due regard to the company’s general operating policies, commensurate with the post and/or as detailed in the Company Handbooks, including those contained within the Staff Handbook and Health and Safety Manual

To have at all times, professional courtesy and respect for all management, employees, and suppliers of the company.

To support the senior management team with any additional activities and support where required.

Qualifications and Competencies

Good organisational skills

Reliable and dependent

Self-motivated

Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks

Team player

Flexible attitude to work and hours

Previous experience is an advantage, at least 1 year.

Working Pattern

Full Time- Permanent

Weekdays 05:00-09:00 start time – variable

Saturdays 06.00-13.00 (Rota Basis)
