Full job description

To provide high-quality, confidential, and proactive administrative and organisational support to the Headmistress, with additional support to the Deputy Headmistress as required.

The postholder will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Headmistress’s office, acting as a central point of coordination across the school and supporting effective communication with parents, staff, governors, and external stakeholders.

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

Hours: 40 hours per week, permanent role, year round role

Flexibility will be required to support occasional evening events and key school activities

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pa

Person Specification:

Essential

Proven experience as a PA or senior administrator (school experience desirable).
Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
High level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters appropriately.
Professional, calm, and measured approach when dealing with parents and stakeholders, including during challenging situations.
Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently while maintaining close and responsive collaboration with the Headmistress and SLT
Experience of recruitment administration and safer recruitment processes.
Working knowledge of employment-related compliance and safeguarding checks.
Ability to maintain accurate employee records and manage highly confidential information.
Experience coordinating multiple administrative processes with strong attention to detail.
