Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Butcher to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to our reputation for exceptional service. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience or a keen interest in the butchery.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim and bone different types of meat including beef, lamb and chicken.
Prepare meat in different cuts such as chops, curry cuts, mince, and other portions according to customer requests.
Operate and maintain butcher equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure meat products are properly stored, labelled, and displayed to maintain freshness and quality.
Monitor stock levels of meat products and supplies, report shortages, low stock, or damaged items to management promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the butcher section in line with food safety regulations.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Skills in meat preparation techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
