Job Description:
Her Safe Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victims Support Worker to join our team in Coventry. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential support to victims of domestic abuse, helping them transition to independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support to victims of domestic abuse.
- Assist clients in understanding their rights and accessing necessary services.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for each client.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans.
- Facilitate support groups and educational workshops.
- Liaise with external agencies and service providers to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on victims.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, non-judgmental, and patient demeanor.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Can speak more than one language. (Preferably Cantonese)
