The Role

Are you an experienced vehicle technician or mechanic ready for a fresh challenge? We’re expanding our Vehicle Preparation Team for Used Vehicle Sales and are looking for skilled professionals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a respected, family-run business.

What You’ll Do:

As a Prep Technician, you’ll ensure vehicles are fully prepared to an excellent standard before being offered for sale. This includes:

Carrying out routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on Ford and non-Ford vehicles
Completing vehicle health checks and identifying any issues
Working on a wide variety of vehicles – every day is different
Ensuring each car leaves your bay ready for the showroom or forecourt

MOT Tester certification is a bonus — but if you're not yet certified, we’ll fund your training!

What We’re Looking For:

At least 2 years' hands-on experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
A formal qualification such as NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
A full UK driving licence
A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
MOT Testing qualification (preferred but not essential – training available)

Hours & Contract

Permanent, full‑time position
Rota averaging 40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
Saturday working is only when required or only if you want to earn the Overtime

Salary

£28,000 – £34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

OTE up to £40,000, dependent on performance and overtime. £28,000 – £34,000 basic salary, plus a rewarding bonus scheme with realistic On‑Target Earnings.
