Full job description

Monday to Friday | 6:00am – 3:00pm

Do you have experience working in food production?
Do people naturally come to you for help or advice?
Do you enjoy showing others how to do a job properly?
Are you patient with new starters who need extra support?
Do you like being on the factory floor rather than sitting behind a desk?
Can you build good working relationships with people from different backgrounds?
Do you notice when somebody is struggling and step in to help?
Are you organised enough to keep training records accurate while managing a busy workload?
Would you take pride in helping somebody become a confident, capable member of the team?

The Role

This is a hands-on, factory-floor-based role supporting new starters from their very first day with Foodpro.

You'll welcome people as they arrive, issue PPE, complete onboarding paperwork and introduce them to their department. From there, you'll continue to support them throughout their first three months, carrying out regular reviews, answering questions, identifying where additional help is needed and working with Supervisors and Managers to ensure every new starter has the best opportunity to succeed.

You'll also coordinate training, maintain onboarding records, monitor attendance, investigate no-shows and work closely with our agency providers to help ensure labour requirements are met.

You will spend your day on the factory floor, getting to know people, supporting their development and making sure they are settling into the business. If someone is struggling, you'll be the one working alongside them on the line showing them what to do.

About You

You will have:

Previous food manufacturing or food production experience.
Good communication skills and confidence speaking to people at all levels.
The ability to build trust and positive working relationships quickly.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Competent PC skills.
The ability to manage several tasks at the same time without losing focus.

Previous experience in onboarding, training, coaching or developing people would be an advantage, but isn't essential. Full training will be provided.

Pay: £29,500.00 per year
