Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dispensing Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will support the dispensing process, assist with medication administration, and contribute to delivering outstanding patient care. Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions in accordance with legal and organisational guidelines
Support medication administration processes, ensuring correct dosage and patient instructions are followed
Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Provide friendly and professional assistance to patients, answering queries related to their prescriptions and medication needs
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Support stock management by checking inventory levels, organising supplies, and reporting shortages or discrepancies
Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times during patient interactions and record keeping

Skills

Grade C or above in GCSE English Language & Maths
Previous pharmacy dispensary experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medicines
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals (in-person and over the phone)
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality
