Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician/Solar Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems with a focus on solar energy solutions. Your expertise will help drive sustainable energy initiatives while ensuring safety and compliance with electrical codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative solar projects that make a positive impact on the environment and communities.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in residential, commercial, or solar energy setups
Use hand tools and power tools to accurately complete electrical tasks according to project specifications
Conduct inspections of electrical components to ensure safety standards and code compliance are met
Assist in the setup and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including inverters, panels, and related equipment
Perform routine maintenance on existing electrical systems and solar installations to optimize performance
Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes during installation and repair activities
Document work performed, including detailed reports on system status, repairs, and upgrades

Qualifications

Proven experience working with electrical systems, including installation and troubleshooting of wiring and fixtures
Hands-on experience with solar energy systems is highly preferred
Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters; familiarity with power tools is a plus
Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices
Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints clearly
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles
