Full job description

Our Brand& business has almost 20 years' experience in creating merchandise collections for clients from all sectors. We offer an end-to-end service from design, production and quality control, through to supporting sales and marketing activity and distributing collections worldwide. Through distinctive design and uncompromising production quality, we express the brands essence and personality across the range, with roots in motorsport as a subsidiary of Prodrive.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clothing Designer to join the Production team. You will support the Head of Product and Head of Design in developing designs for clothing and accessory products for various markets and brands, and develop design templates and systems to improve the support process to production and sales.

Key responsibilities:

Attend internal and external client brief meetings.
Interpret brand guidelines and translate them into relevant design concepts, considering product types, ranges, colours, and logo usage.
Collaborate with the production team to assess product needs for different markets and brands.
Communicate and present designs and products internally and externally to clients.
Liaise with clients to clarify design ideas and provide creative solutions.
Prepare detailed product specifications and artwork for factory production.
Review factory samples and provide clear, actionable feedback on revisions regarding colour, fabric, fit, and branding.
Maintain clear communication with international suppliers to ensure design accuracy and production standards.
Research market trends in clothing and accessories, including fabric innovations and branding techniques.
Produce high quality visuals in variety of paper and electronic media.
Attend design and supplier meetings when required.
Create and distribute artwork and assets for internal departments.
Manage digital files, ensuring all design ideas, client feedback, and product development stages are well-documented and organized.
Develop new product ideas through creative thinking.
Strive to continually improve creativity of storyboards.
Stay ahead of fashion and retail trends to inform new product and range development.
Demonstrate strong retail awareness through store reports and new range suggestions.
Work closely with product developers to align design ideas with production capabilities.
Apply feedback constructively to refine designs and achieve project goals.
Apply exceptional attention to detail throughout the design and development process.

Who we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field, and bring proven experience in clothing and accessory design, ideally within a commercial environment. You will demonstrate a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, as well as strong technical drawing and illustration skills. You will have an excellent understanding of garment construction, materials, and print processes, with a keen awareness of global fashion trends and retail brands. You will be a clear communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple projects with strong collaboration, organisation, and adaptability.
