Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice/Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in dental nursing while working alongside experienced professionals. The successful candidate will assist with patient care, support clinical operations, and develop essential skills in a friendly and forward-thinking practice.

Working hours are from 39.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturday shifts as required.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during various dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials to ensure smooth clinical operations.
Provide compassionate patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising equipment and ensuring clinical areas are clean and organised at all times.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records using IT systems, and managing patient correspondence.
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Participate actively in training sessions to develop knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and patient care techniques.
Communicate effectively with patients and team members to foster a positive experience for everyone involved.

Other Requirements

Successful completion of a DBS check
