Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.

We have a great opportunity for a Traffic Management Operative to support our long term street lighting maintenance contract covering Kent. This position is based from our Sittingbourne office.

Key activities

The installation, maintenance, removal and recording of temporary traffic management and control systems
Working unsupervised for all general traffic management duties which you will be trained for and be competent to undertake as part of a team
Completing traffic management day to day responsibilities upon instruction of the Foreman/Supervisor
Support H & S – Zero accidents and environmental incidents
Ensure all Health and Safety standards are being adhered to across all works
Assist and When designated lead TMO, lead the on-site investigation process, report then collate, gather, and record relevant information relating to all site issues and incidents
Work to ensure any CDM regulations (principle contractor responsibilities) are being adhered to across all works
Support environmental processes and best practice across the contract
Ensure traffic management compliance
Collaborate, promote and develop Health, Safety and wellbeing innovations

Skills, qualifications & experience

A valid and Full UK Driving Licence
Manual Handling
NHSS 12A/B (or D TMO skills card)
Experience in all Highways Works / Highways Maintenance
Emergency First Aid at Work
