Full job description

We’re looking for a reliable and capable Cook / Shift Manager to join our busy fish & chip shop in Dumfries.

The role combines hands-on cooking with responsibility for running shifts and maintaining high standards across the shop.

Key responsibilities:

Cooking and preparing food to a consistently high standard
Running shifts and organising the team effectively
Ensuring orders go out quickly, accurately and well presented
Maintaining excellent cleanliness, food safety and stock standards
Preparing the shop for service and completing closing duties
Supporting and directing other team members during busy periods
Taking responsibility and solving problems as they arise

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised, hardworking and confident taking responsibility. Previous kitchen or supervisory experience is preferred, although training will be provided.

Approximately 25–35 hours per week, including evening and Saturday shifts.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
