Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer Roofer to join our dynamic team. This role involves installing solar energy systems on rooftops, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and delivering high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of roofing and electrical systems, with experience in mechanical and construction tasks. Responsibilities

Install solar panels and related equipment on various types of rooftops, adhering to safety and quality standards
Prepare work sites by assessing roof structures and ensuring proper access and safety measures are in place
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to secure solar modules and mounting systems
Conduct roof repairs or modifications as necessary to facilitate installation
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators when required for site preparation or material handling
Perform welding tasks when needed to secure mounting brackets or structural components
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely within designated timelines
Conduct inspections of installed systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with electrical codes
Maintain a clean work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing, electrical work, or solar installation preferred
Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous
Experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery is desirable
Strong understanding of electrical systems and basic wiring principles
Knowledge of safety protocols related to roofing, electrical work, and construction sites
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
Relevant certifications or licences related to roofing, electrical work, or construction are a plus
