Based in New Milton, we are specialists in the manufacture, supply, and calibration of high-quality gauging equipment. We are currently looking for a dedicated, hands-on Calibration Technician who thrives on working with precision measurement setups and dynamic engineering projects to join our established UKAS-accredited laboratory.
Role Overview
As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for performing precise measurements and UKAS calibrations on a wide variety of gauges and precision measuring equipment. Beyond routine testing, you will bring an energetic, proactive mindset to our laboratory environment, eagerly diving into technical projects, process improvements, and evolving measurement workflows that keep our operations at the cutting edge of metrology.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform UKAS Calibrations: Carry out calibrations of various precision gauges and instruments in accordance with UKAS procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
● Drive Technical Projects: Enthusiastically contribute to internal improvement projects and the optimization of our calibration workflows.
● Data Recording & Certification: Accurately record calibration data, calculate measurement uncertainties, and issue clear, compliant calibration certificates.
● Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Proactively maintain, verify, and troubleshoot laboratory reference standards and precision measurement equipment.
● Quality Compliance: Adhere strictly to the company’s quality management system, health and safety policies, and accreditation requirements.
● Customer Support: Liaise professionally with customers regarding technical queries, calibration results, and instrument performance where required.
Requirements & Qualifications
● Passion for Projects & Technology: A genuine enthusiasm for hands-on technical projects, problem-solving, and optimizing measurement processes.
● Experience: Proven experience in a calibration, metrology, or quality control environment (experience with UKAS/ISO 17025 accredited laboratories is highly desirable).
● Technical Skills: Strong mathematical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
● Background: A background in mechanical engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline is preferred

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
