Overview
We are seeking a skilled Slitter Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in operating slitting machines. This role involves working with various materials and requires attention to detail to ensure precision in cutting processes. The Slitter Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.

Duties

Operate slitting machines to cut materials into specified widths and lengths.
Monitor the slitting process to ensure accuracy and quality of the finished product.
Perform routine maintenance on slitting equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
Fabricate and assemble components as needed for production runs.
Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during the setup and operation of machinery.
Conduct quality checks on materials before, during, and after the slitting process.
Handle heavy lifting of materials as required, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating industrial machinery.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is advantageous.
Ability to fabricate and assemble parts as necessary for production tasks.
Proficient in using power tools and hand tools safely.
Capacity for heavy lifting, with a focus on maintaining proper lifting techniques.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
