Full job description

Part-Time - Friday 6 hours (8am - 2pm)

The Role:

In order to build and sustain growth, TPS now wishes to appoint a part-time finance assistant for a small but busy finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will provide support in the development of all necessary financial controls and in carrying out reconciliations to ensure production of accurate and timely financial records and management information.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of the following in a busy office environment:-

Ø maintaining the cashbook and entry to systems including bank reconciliations.

Ø Credit control, ensuring timely payments by customers.

Ø Sales invoicing

Ø Quotes to orders

Ø Debtors reporting

Ø Bank payments

Ø Reconciling Credit card statements

Ø Month end close procedures & reporting

You will also be required to cover reception duties, including answering incoming telephone calls.

Qualifications:

Ideally the successful candidate is likely to have:

Ø the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification or be studying towards it.

Ø demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing processes and a project led engineering business.

Ø demonstrable knowledge of the computerised enterprise resource planning ERP system Epicor.
