Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a Motor factor warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are a local, family-owned motor factor offering a friendly and supportive place to work. You will be part of a close-knit team where your contribution is noticed and valued. The role offers variety, the chance to learn different parts of the business, and the opportunity to build good working relationships with colleagues and regular trade customers. We take pride in providing a personal service, and we are looking for someone reliable and hardworking who wants to be part of a business where people matter

Duties

Picking customer orders accurately and preparing parts for delivery.
Receiving supplier deliveries, checking parts against paperwork and putting stock away in the correct locations.
Maintaining accurate stock levels by checking quantities against the computer system and reporting any discrepancies.
Checking customer returns and identifying whether items are suitable for resale, warranty return or surcharge.
Supporting the trade counter when required, including serving trade customers, answering basic enquiries and helping to maintain a friendly, professional service.
Keeping the warehouse and stock areas tidy, organised and safe.

Skills

Autopart/Autocat experience would be Ideal but not essential
Customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Effective time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
Valid driving licence for occasional deliveries as required
Ability to work independently whilst collaborating within a team setting
