Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with complex health needs. In this vital role, you will support clients in their homes or care settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help foster trusting relationships and promote independence for those in your care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalized care based on detailed care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management
Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity whilst at home
Use IT systems to accurately record care activities, updates, and observations
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
Contribute to reviewing of care plans to adapt to changing needs

Requirements

Previous experience in home care is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
Valid driving license and ability to drive
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
Basic IT literacy for documentation and accessing electronic care records
Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and safeguarding protocols
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with complex health needs

Pay: From £15.25 per hour
