We are currently recruiting for a Home Manager to manage all aspects of the care home’s operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and quality of life for residents. The Home Manager will provide strong leadership to the care team, ensure compliance with RQIA regulations, and effectively manage staff, budgets, and resources.
About The Role
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Care Quality & Compliance
-
Ensure delivery of person-centred care in line with best practice and RQIA standards.

Regularly review care plans and clinical records.
-
Prepare for and participate in RQIA inspections and implement recommendations as required.

Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed.
2. Leadership & Management
-
Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, promoting a positive working environment.

Provide supervision, appraisals, and ongoing training for staff.

Deal with staffing issues including recruitment, performance management, and rotas.
3. Resident & Family Engagement
-
Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families.
-
Handle complaints and concerns effectively and empathetically.
-
Ensure residents’ dignity, independence, and wellbeing are respected and promoted.
4. Financial & Operational Management
-
Manage home budgets efficiently, including payroll, supplies, and occupancy.

Monitor and work to achieve occupancy targets.
-
Ensure the home is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
5. Governance & Reporting
-
Keep accurate records in line with regulatory and company policies.

Submit required reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Conduct internal audits and risk assessments regularly.

Required Criteria
-
Right to live and work in the UK
-
Has at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience, 2 of which have been in a similar care setting within the last 5 years

Has a management qualification or 2 years’ relevant managerial experience at Band 6 level (or suitable equivalent), gained within the last 5 years

Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active NMC PIN

Proven experience in leading and managing staff
IT literacy
