HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver – Q-Power

Location: Brentwood – Essex or Upper Heyford - Oxford

Hours: 4 nights on 4 nights off

Salary: Competitive

Full-Time | Permanent | Tramping role 4 nights on 4 nights off – away from depot when working | Overtime opportunities

The Role

You will be responsible for transporting high-value mobile battery banks, generators and assisting with basic setup on-site.

This role suits experienced HGV Class 1 drivers who are comfortable working independently, take pride in their work, and are confident handling specialist equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Transporting mobile battery banks, generators and fuel pods across the UK
Positioning units safely and accurately on-site using truck mounted cranes (HIAB)
Assisting with basic setup and operational checks
Completing paperwork and compliance checks
Maintaining high safety and professional standards
Communicating with operations team and site contacts

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with CPC
Minimum 2 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience (required)
Applicants must hold a HIAB licence or be willing to be trained
Experience with tramping / long-distance driving
No more than 6 points on driving licence
Good level of mechanical awareness and problem-solving ability
Professional, reliable and able to work independently
Applicants must hold ADR Licence (class 3 and 9 in packages) or willing to be trained and sit exams to gain ADR qualification

Applicants must be currently based in the UK
Full right to work in the UK is required
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
