Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Applicants should possess relevant kitchen experience and be committed to maintaining food safety standards. Previous restaurant experience and serving skills are advantageous but not essential. This paid position provides valuable hands-on experience in pizza preparation and kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen, including cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment
Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely service
Maintain stock levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages or replenishment needs
Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of quality and presentation
Follow health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to pizza making and meal preparation
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Previous restaurant experience or serving skills are beneficial but not mandatory
Passion for delivering exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction
