Full job description

Office / Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an organised and motivated Office / Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and progress.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties on a regular basis:

Processing invoices in Sage and maintaining the sales ledger.
Updating and maintaining the purchase ledger.
Reconciling bank accounts and petty cash.
Reconciling creditor and debtor ledgers.
Filing and maintaining accounting records and documentation.
Verifying pricing calculations and assisting with catalogue preparation.
Processing customer orders and liaising with customers, suppliers, and the workshop team.
Maintaining spreadsheets for special projects and other business requirements.
Undertaking any additional duties as required by management.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualities and experience:

Strong understanding of office administration and procedures.
Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
AAT qualified or currently studying towards an AAT qualification (or equivalent accountancy qualification).
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and external contacts.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Confident and professional telephone manner.
Hardworking, flexible, and highly attentive to detail.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience using Sage accounting software would be advantageous.

Salary

£12.71 to £13.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
