Full job description

PHARMACY COUNTER ASSISTANT: Full- time opportunity - with some evening and weekend shifts by negotiation.

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focussed applicants, ideally with retail experience, to work in our busy pharmacy. Our perfect candidate will be a great team player, with an eye for detail and a welcoming manner. You'll need to be comfortable handling cash and have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.

You will work some standard day shifts, but some days will be a later start, working into the evening or on Saturdays or Sundays.

You'll be joining a hard-working team, helping customers find the products they need and serving them with their dispensed medication. You will also identify when customers need expert advice from the pharmacist, check stock and fill shelves.

Training and funding to complete the recognised pharmacy counter assistant qualification is provided.

About us

Anstey Road Pharmacy is a busy community pharmacy based in Alton Health Centre. We dispense prescription medications and provide healthcare advice and over-the-counter remedies. We are open until 9pm on weekdays and we are also open on Saturdays and Sundays.

Alton Health Centre is on the main road into Alton with a bus stop right outside. The railway station (Waterloo line) is very close by. There is secure, free parking on-site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £10.50-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
