Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assemblying, and troubleshooting generators to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for technical work to contribute to a dynamic organisation committed to safety and quality.

Duties

Assemble diesel generators in accordance with manufacturer specifications
carry out post-assemble jobs such as installing water jacket heaters etc
Test generators to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
loading and unload parts/generators from or onto trailers or containers
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues related to generator systems
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Experience with power tools relevant to generator maintenance and repair
Good problem-solving skills with an analytical approach to diagnosing issues
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills for documenting work performed and liaising with colleagues

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
