Craft bespoke pieces with Cedarwell!

Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker / Carpenter

Ossett

£16 per hour + Overtime + Yearly Bonus

Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm (possibility of flexible hours)

Cedarwell is a small but busy joinery workshop in Wakefield. We are creative, supportive and rewarding, and our goal is to build a team of true crafts people.

We are looking for a talented Bench Joiner who enjoys and takes pride in their work.

You will be an integral part of our small and friendly team of bench joiners, taking ownership of bespoke projects from start to finish.

You’ll be working independently to produce high-end joinery, utilizing both traditional hand skills and modern workshop machinery, including crafting laminated pieces.

As every piece we make is different the work is both interesting and rewarding for both commercial and domestic customers.

We are considering both full time staff and subcontract candidates.

Job requirements

MUST be able to drive.
5 years bench experience
Has own hand tools
Experience of workshop machinery
Experience of making laminated pieces
Keen eye for detail
Takes pride in their work
Must be able to work unsupervised

The "nice-to-haves"

Experience of curved work desirable
Some fitting experience desirable
Ability to do own cutting lists desirable

This opportunity would suit an experienced bench joiner or someone with a background in workshop or bespoke joinery, cabinet making, furniture making or carpentry. We also welcome applications from skilled woodworkers, joinery fabricators, production joiners and other experienced joinery tradespeople who take pride in producing high-quality, detailed work

Pay: From £16.00 per hour
